Last time we talked I said I was busy making up a song called I Gave My Life to Christ in a Cracker Barrel Parking Lot. I wasn't lying. I opened my set with it at The Cave on August 23.

That was a very fun show with a great crowd and a lot of amazing music, by the way. I told you that was going to happen. You should listen to The King Teen. Just my opinion but I'm right.

The moment for that song has passed and we're well into the era of nobody even remembering what the Cracker Barrel Panic was all about so I'll probably never play it again. So I'm sharing it with you here. A newsletter exclusive! Only people with the URL can watch it on YouTube, though you may share the URL if you'd like.

As you'll see, finishing a new song in time to play it at a gig is one thing and remembering all the words when you need them is another. I thought I had it down but at showtime I blanked a couple times. So this isn't exactly a pristine performance, but hey that's what newsletter exlusive!s are for. Enjoy. Something it's hard to do with the rubbery eggs at the Cracker Barrel.

Another Bandcamp Friday ...

... here in status symbol land? Anyway what that means is that Bandcamp waves its fees and lets the artists keep all the money from sales. What I do on Bandcamp Fridays is take my money and Bandcamp's waved share and give it all to Project Hope, an international humanitarian foundation that's concentrating on Palestine at the moment.

So if you've been thinking "Yeah I'll get around to buying The King Teen's EP sometime" but you haven't yet, why not do it today and kick some dineros over to a group that's trying to do a little good in the face of a genocide.

Why do I keep quoting the same Monkees song for the headlines in this newsletter? Your guess is as good as mine but the point is that just the other day I was kind of moping around my sprawling compound Us Ugly Guys Park, whining about how I didn't have any gigs lined up and woe is me and all that. It was very charming and it's a shame that with one super cute exception you weren't around to see it. 

But all of a sudden I have not exactly a busy fall but one that's sprinkled with interesting things. Which is better than busy. I know that sounds wrong but listen to The King Teen. I've been busy a lot in my life and sprinkled with interesting is way better.
