I'm playing my first music festival on July 4th and you can win two free tickets. They say "No Cash Value" right on them, but if you wanted to buy a ticket that gets you the same access, it would cost you $39. I never took an econ class but it seems to me these babies are worth $39 each.

Before we get to how you can win the free tickets I want to mention that I'm playing at my favorite local dive tomorrow, Tuesday, and if you're within a 30-hour drive of Chapel Hill North Carolina I want you to come. 

Laura Bradley is a local singer-songwriter and I mean she can really sing — not to downplay her songwriting or anything. 

Mathieu Raney is, like me, a newcomer to North Carolina from the West Coast. He's from Town I've Never Heard Of and Can't Remember, Oregon, and moved here last year. He's 21, a good songwriter and singer, and is already making a living playing music. He's good. They're both good. 

Last newsletter I mentioned that I have a new song inspired by Trump's insane rants that I had failed to play correctly twice and was hoping to nail it at my gig last Wednesday. Good news: I did, and I'll be playing it again Tuesday at the Cave in Chapel Hill North Carolina you should come. 

It's called Shark Week and will be my next single. I'm rushing it out, hopefully in the next week or so. It's in mixing and mastering, meaning someone is trying to fix all the screwups made by the terrible musicians and incompetent engineers who made the recording, who are all pictured here. 

EnoFest ticket giveaway

Festival for the Eno, aka EnoFest, is July 4 & 6 at West Point on the Eno in Durham. There are 60 acts playing on four stages, and I'm one of them. 

One of the acts, that is. I'll be on the Chimney Stage at noon on the Fourth.
